TESTED: K-Beauty feat. dear Klairs, Benton, Cosrx

k-beauty, klairs, benton, cosrx, skincare

At the beginning of this year I totally got obsessed with K-Beauty!! I think I spent weeks with reading a lot of different articles and reviews all over Pinterest. I stared with double cleansing and I swear it totally changed my cleansing routine!! So of course I wanted to try all the amazing products I read about. I’m still in the process of building my personal 10 Steps K-Beauty routine and will keep you updated on this one.

dear, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

When using K-Beauty toner I quickly learned that these are next level compared to the ones in ‚western beauty‘. They don’t feel like water on your skin, they’re much thicker and especially with this toner I had the feeling it’s really moisturizing for my skin. Dear, Klairs describes it as following: ‚Balances the skin’s pH level and improves the effectiveness of your entire skincare regime, helping you to achieve your best skin.‘
Also since using K-Beauty toners I stopped applying them with a cotton pad – I simply put a few drops into my palms and press it into my skin. Means less waist and no waist of product, yeah!!

dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

I was so excited to try this one!! This blue cream is calming and soothing for sensitive skin. It can be used as spot treatment or as over night mask. Key ingredients are Guaiazulene (a natural ingredient, extracted from chamomile oil and incredibly calming) and the so famous (for K-Beauty) Centella Asiatica (known as ‚tiger grass‘, helps with regeneration of new skin cells and relieves redness).
I already tried it as a spot treatment and over night mask and loved both options. Especially as an over night mask it really calmed my skin (used it after I had some reaction to a skincare product) and the rash seemed to heal much more quickly. Will love it even more during the winter time I have the feeling. So if your skin is dry, sensitive, acne-prone or all at once, I highly recommend you give this one a shot.

k-beauty, dear klaris, Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, Midnight Blue Calming Cream, Supple Preparation Facial Toner

dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop*

Vitamin C fights a lot of annoying skin concerns as dull skin tone, enlarged pores and dark spots. This product is contains a concentration of 5% pure Vitamin C. As this is not too much it’s suitable for sensitive skin as well. If your skin is super sensitiv but you want to give it a go anyways I totally recommend mixing a few drops with the Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask from dear, Klairs (read more a bit below). Make sure to never mix products that contain Vitamin C with ones that contain AHA and BHA!! Also it’s recommended to store this one in a dark, cold place. I will probably place mine in the fridge.
This was the first time ever I tried a product with a high(er) concentration of Vitamin C and I really liked it a lot!! When using it my skin looked much more fresh and more even as well. It felt really nice on the skin, not sticky and I haven’t had any bad reaction at all. I have the feeling only after a few uses the texture on my skin get way smoother and more even.

dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask*

This product can be used as a mask, an over night mask or even as a moisturizer. It’s formulated with a lot of vitamin E what is known as for it’s antioxidant powers and has brightening benefits as well as it prevents signs of aging and improves wrinkles. Key ingredients are vitamin E, Niacinamide and Adenosine. If you have acne-prone skin, you’re probably already are familiar with Niacinamide, because it’s a very popular ingredient known for balancing sebum production. Adenosine is part of every single cell in our body and very important for collagen synthesis and its anti-inflammatory properties.
The mask itself has a jelly-like consistency, super fun and fells like water on the skin. I only use a tiny bit because I read when using too much it can get sticky. So after using the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop I used this mask as a over night mask and wash everything away the next morning with my double cleanse routine. I especially had the feeling that it made my breakout heal a lot faster.

k-beauty, Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner, Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel,

Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner

Like the other toner I mentioned a bit above, this one isn’t just a liquid consistency, it’s a bit thicker so it’s very easy to apply with your palms and no cotton pad needed. The toner is packed with aloe and salicylic acid (BHA) so it soothes and moisturizes on the one side but exfoliates to keep your pores clean, reduce sebum and has anti-inflammatory properties.
I really like this one a lot and as my skin is used to BHA it’s not drying at all for me. I’d also say it’s a good product to get started with BHA if you’ve never used it before and want to try.

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel

Okay, so this gel moisturizer is fragrance free and basically just the right thing if you have oily and acne-prone skin. It’s formulated with aloe and propolis, so it soothes irritated skin very well and helps to fade acne scars and brighten your complexion while being hydration too. The ingredient propolis is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory – so it’s great for troubled skin.

k-beauty, Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch, Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch

So who doesn’t love a good pimple patch?! But do they really work? I always doubt it until I came across these ones. In one pack you get 24 patches in different sizes that promise to treat whiteheads, blackheads and picked zits overnight. The patch eliminates infection and bacteria, the reason what causes breakouts in the first place.
I tried the patches on two very nasty breakouts, the ones that are sitting deeper under your skin and need a long time to get rid of if you don’t treat them right away. I applied the patch right after I came home and removed my makeup and cleansed my face. So the patch could stay on as long as possible. Over the night it hasn’t moved a bit and when I removed it the next morning the zit was significantly smaller.

Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++

Okay, I LOVEEE this sun cream!! For some reason my skin is super sensitiv when it comes to sun screen for the face. Had some really bad reactions in the past from several sun protection products. Not this one!! The thing I love the most is that it doesn’t even feel like sun screen. It’s super soft and light-weight, means it sinks in the skin very quick and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky afterwards. The cream is formulated with LOTS of Aloe Leaf Extract and protects your skin against UVA & UVB rays. I absolutely recommend this one!!

k-beauty, Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch, Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

This product contains 96% of snail secretion filtrate and writing this down I still feel a bit uncomfortable. But I wanted to try it anyways because a lot of people wear by it. Snail mucin is a very common ingredient in the K-Beauty world. It’s loaded with replenishing and revitalizing nutrients to help prevent and repair damage and give ultimate elasticity. Furthermore it has the ability to repair everything from dry patches, to acne breakout and hyperpigmentation.
The texture of it is very jelly-like and you only need the tiniest bit because a little goes a long way. I will have to test it over a longer period to see more significant results other than being very hydrating for the skin.
