Mask of Magnaminty face and body mask is one of the products that I’ve been using over the past years and have bought over and over again. Always when my skin is in trouble (bc of some annoying breakouts) I know that this magical mask will calm them down and get the situation under control.
About the Mask
Lush describes this mask as a multi-purpose mask. Key ingredients are honey (for its antibacterial properties), kaolin (to cleanse and exfoliate) and peppermint oil (to stimulate blood cells under the surface of your skin = brighter and refreshed skin). It contains also ground aduki beans which remove dead skin cells and absorb excess dirt and oils from the skin.
Cleanse your face and gently pat it dry. Then apply a even layer of the mask to your face and let it sit there for 10 minutes (I sometimes forget and let it on longer and never had a bad reaction or anything). Then wash it off with lukewarm water and gentle, circling motions to make use of the exfoliating aduki beans.
Good to know
There’s a ‚classic‘ version of the Mask of Magnaminty as well. However, I prefer the self-preserving one because it contains more honey (the mask doesn’t dry down on your skin, it stays sticky) – I have used the classic preserved version for years as well but somehow I like the effect of the self-preserving one more.
This mask is definitely a staple for me and if you’ve never tried it I’d say it’s time to visit your nearest Lush store and get at least a sample and give this mask a go.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this one before, which version do you like best or if this mask is new to you.
