Urban Decay – new gems and old favs

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

Okay so if you’re a makeup junkie you own at least one Naked Eyeshadow Palette. So the Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette is probably nothing new for you but I just got the opportunity to give it a try.

The palette is packed with 12 different shades in different finishes. From mattes and satins to shades with sparkle – there is a great variety. The shades are more on the cool toned side. On the left side it starts with very shimmery to end on the right side with matte ones. From left to right you find the following eyeshadows:

High – champagne shimmer with micro-glitter
Dirtysweet – medium bronze
Radar – metallic taupe with iridescent micro-glitter
Armor – metallic silver-taupe with tonal sparkle
Slanted – light metallic gray
Dagger – medium charcoal with micro-shimmer
Black Market – jet black satin
Smolder – deep plum-taupe
Password – cool taupe matte
Whiskey – rich brown matte
Combust – soft pink-taupe
Thirteen – light beige satin

These colors are perfect for creating an everyday smoky eye look without getting too dramatic (don’t get me wrong, totally possible if you want to!). But you’re able to go with all the natural shades and create something soft as well. That is the great thing about this eyeshadow palette if you ask me, you find a lot of different colors but all work really nicely together.

My favorite for sure is „High“ – it just speaks to me! I also love „Slanted“ especially for spring now and you already know I’m obsessed with these shades of blue. Don’t forget to prime your lid before applying eyeshadow to get a more even look and make them last longer.

All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

Beside the other products they are new or fairly new to me I use this setting spray for years now! It’s definitely under my top 3 when it comes to setting my makeup.
The All Nighter setting spray is free of oils and parabens and it’s vegan, yay! Also it has a patented Temperature Control Technology what basically means that it lowers the temperature of your whole makeup (foundation, eyeshadow, blush etc.) to keep it in place and makes it last longer.
For me it really works. When I use the spray after applying my makeup I notice a huge difference when it comes to longevity. Even the colors seem to look bolder for a longer time when I use it. Must-have in my opinion!

B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Spray

Other than the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray this product was new to me and I just tried it the last two weeks or so. It’s a prep priming spray so you’re supposed to use it on your clean skin before you start to apply anything. Make sure to give it a good shake before you use it – I missed that the first time and it felt a bit weird. The spray is a really really fine mist, you hardly notice anything touching your skin when spraying it on. This is amazing because there is nothing worse than using a spray (especially setting spray) and you end up with big drops of product all over your face.

The Prep Priming Spray claims to be skin balancing, oil absorbing and to create an even skin tone. It contains vitamin B6 (what is known to act balancing) vitamin E and willow bark.
You can use the spray on your clean face before you start with your morning routine and makeup, during the day to refresh your skin (no worries, your makeup will be fine) or in the evening before you start with your moisturizer or treatment.

So far I’m really liking this product. I always have to deal with oily skin so this is definitely perfect for my needs! I have the feeling that it prevents my skin from getting oily too quick and it’s another of Urban Decay’s products that is vegan!! I honestly didn’t know that there are so many vegan products from UD, that’s really amazing.

#LipstickIsMyVice | Vice Lipstick

When Urban Decay sneaked their new range of lipsticks the makeup world was standing still for a minute. Meanwhile there are 100+ different shades with different finishes:

MEGA MATTE – super-intense matte

COMFORT MATTE – creamy matte

CREAM – the original creamy, badass luxury

METALLIZED – cream with a high level of pearl

SHEER – a punch of color with a sheer, shiny finish

SHEER SHIMMER – slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture

I haven’t tried many of them now (sadly) but the ones I own I’m deeply in love with!! My favorite finish is the „Comfort Matte“ – I mean we all love our matte lipstick but sometimes it’s just a little too dry. Not this one! You get a really nice matte finish but don’t have the feeling that you want to apply lip balm over it because you can’t stand how it feels on your lips. Below are the ones I added to my collection. Next on my list are: Criminal, Double Team and Heartless.
Urban Decay just released a liquid lipstick version of the Vice Lipstick and I can’t wait to get my hands on them!!
