give me ruffles
I have to admit that the recent ruffle fashion trend really really got me!! So enjoying these ruffles. I can remember that I snagged a blouse with a lot of ruffles from my beloved grandma a view years back and was obsessed with it. The thing is, if something is not in fashion some styles are very hard to find. This goes for ruffles (or the recent velvet trend – before velvet was so in I had to grab all the beautiful velvet pieces during the holiday season because that was the only time they were around).
What I really love, when it comes to details like ruffles or knit or velvet pieces, is to style them with something edgy. If you combine them with something that is so sweet and lovely looking as well, it can end up in a very romantic style really quick (what is totally fine if that’s the look you’re going for, but mostly I don’t because baby face and pastel hair are cute enough).
how to style
I styled the ruffle sweater from Zara with this edgy, kinda rockstar looking skirt from Mango. While taking the pics I discovered that it has pockets, yay for that!! For shoes I decided to go with the amazing biker boots that I bought at the beginning of winter. They’re very sturdy and give me a little bit more hight (what I always prefer). This day was one of the warm, sunny winter days we had this year in Vienna. I miss them, it’s freezing cold at the moment with no sun outside.
