If you know me and have been following for awhile you already know that Becca Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands ever! Most known for their Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Highlighters. Side note: if you haven’t tested them yet DO IT RIGHT NOW, most perfect highlighter that has touched my skin <3. Becca launched the Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer (what matches their Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation, that I truly love as well) a few months back.
The line comes with nine different shades from very fair to deep tones. The concealer itself is described as a „weightless, water-rich concealer with flexible pigments that are infused with light technology to conceal and blur imperfections for a long-lasting, perfected look“. With the variety of shades you are able to highlight and contour with this product as well and of course conceal the under eye area, dark circles or imperfections.
These are the nine shades that are available:
- Porcelain – very fair with slight pink undertones
- Fair – fair with neutral undertones
- Light – light with neutral undertones
- Beige – light/medium with neutral undertones
- Medium – medium with neutral undertones
- Tan – medium/tan with neutral undertones
- Warm Honey – medium/deep with neutral undertones
- Dark Golden – deep with neutral/golden undertones
- Deep Bronze – deepest with neutral/golden undertones
You’re able to find Becca Cosmetics at Sephora (sold for $30usd) or if you’re located in Europe you have the possibility to shop the brand at cult beauty (sold for £23). That’s very helpful because Sephora doesn’t ship to Austria (and many other countries). Also it means saving on shipping and customs when buying from the UK, yay!!
Why I love it
What I love the most about this product is that it’s really light weight and not crazy pigmented. Don’t get me wrong, it’s enough pigment to make your dark circles disappear but not too much that it’s tricky to work with. The key, as always, is to use not too much product to prevent creasing. If you have really bad dark circles or discoloration I always suggest using a color corrector first and then applying a little bit of concealer instead of using tons and tons of a product. This only looks nice for a short amount of time and ends up in a messy look.
My how to
I start with a tiny amount of eye cream, followed by a color corrector if I’m in the mood and then I apply the concealer with my damp beauty blender to my under eye area. To finish I set it with a very small amount of translucent powder to prevent creasing and make the concealer last longer.
All in all I’m totally recommending the Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer. It’s definitely under my top 5 when it comes to concealers for the under eye area!!
Anyone tried these as well? What is your all time fav concealer for the under eye area? Let me know, I’m always keen to try new ones!!
